I’m at a complete loss. I have done so many installs & never have I had such a problem in my life. First it started with the dreaded css missing. I followed the instructions to install just the wordpress files, which I did & my clients site look nothing like the demo I saw. I dug around the support & tried everything I could find. I finally went in via ftp (FileZilla on Mac) and removed all themes and started from scratch. Still the same issue, just didn’t look like the demo. Then I could not for the life of me figure out how or where to load the “homepage” folder or zip. I tried the main directory, the homeland child theme directory. NADA. I installed the wordpress.xml file as shown on the support forum & got the following list of failed items & then some (too long). Not to mention the site just looks even worse than before.
I want to start from scratch again, but need exact info on what I need to do once I upload the homeland child theme and activate it along with the plugins. I need to know the next step. Do I install the demo content first, and if so how? I’m assuming that is all the info in the demo-folder called homepage.
If this doesn’t work, then I will be forced to pay for a service to install. Take a look at how screwed up the site looks like.(http://69.89.31.181/~ktwohome/)
